A diversified services firm with little overseas
sales activity asked us to recruit a Vice
President of International Sales. Early in
the search it became clear that the company
had not determined which geographical markets
were a priority or which of their services
offerings should be marketed abroad. We changed
the direction of the search and recruited
an experienced international business development
executive who had helped previous companies
develop winning go-to-market strategies overseas.
We will recruit an international sales executive
later, once a real plan is in place.

For
a $8 billion, privately-held engineering and
technology services company, we recruited
a CEO to succeed the founder. The search was
initially assigned to a large executive search
firm. We were engaged when the client was
not satisfied that an exhaustive search had
been conducted. We presented just one candidate
to the Board --the ultimate finalist.

For
a new international web-hosting venture, funded
with over $300 million in equity, we recruited
a President, Senior Vice President of Marketing
and Sales, Vice President of Networking, Senior
Vice President of Construction, and Senior
Vice President of Operations as well as others
in a six-month period of time. Savoy assisted
in the development of the organization and
staffing plan from the outset.

For
one of the world's largest professional services
firms, with numerous commercial and government
clients, we recruited senior Partners and
Principals to lead our client into specified
vertical markets. Our successful completion
of more than 45 searches (over a twenty year
period of time) resulted in fast growing practices
in telecommunications, information systems
design and integration, homeland defense,
decision support systems, commercial aerospace,
consumer products, and manufacturing systems.
Combined new revenues generated returned to
our client more than 100 times the dollar
cost of such searches.

For
an extremely successful and well-known multi-media
company, we recruited their first ever Vice
President of Human Resources who has been
charged with upgrading the function, as well
as integrating their operations and acquisitions
around the world.

For
one of the best known, publicly-held, information
services companies, we were asked to recruit
a top marketing executive to redirect its
strategy and improve the firm's declining
reputation and margins. He was subsequently
promoted to Group President, and the company
has more than quadrupled in size.

For
a high profile computer company, we were retained
to recruit a senior Country Manager to help
them enter the Pacific Rim market. We found
a superior candidate in Hong Kong; but, as
a result of what we learned during our marketplace
analysis, we recommended against hiring this
individual, or anyone else. All of their competitors
failed to penetrate that market and withdrew
at great expense. Our client's only cost was
our search fee.
